Alice & Charlie chose me for their wedding on the 4th August 2018. The couple held their ceremony at the The Blessed Virgin Mary, Singleton - it is said the famous poet William Blake wrote "And did those feet in ancient time" near this chapel - at least that's what the couples priest claimed ;) After the ceremony we moved on to their beautiful reception in a marquee at the West Dean College & Gardens.
I remember distinctly the bride was nervous to be in front of my camera, but towards the end of the couple shoot she felt relaxed and we had a fantastic shoot. Her beautiful flower crown above was designed by herself!
After a wonderful ceremony, the guests formed one of the best confetti tunnels I've ever seen and showered the couple with rose petals. The confetti throw is definitely a highlight for me!
The couple organised a truly fun event set in the peaceful pastures at West Dean Gardens. And on a beautiful hot summer day, not sure what more you could ask for in terms of perfect conditions.
After the speeches, and after everyone had their fill of the amazing food, it was time to party! The couple expressed to me before the wedding, that they were not the super romantic type, and so would not be doing much of a first dance. Instead they were more keen on just having fun with their loved ones on the dance floor. Which lead to one of my all time favourite moments captured at a wedding reception :)
All said and done, I had a fantastic day with this lovely couple and they were ecstatic with the final images which I presented to them in a beautifully printed album. Hand delivered to the groom at his London office. See more from their special day in the gallery below:
