wedding photo of bride & groom entrance with dancing at painshill park

In September 2018, I was hired by Jordan & Leisha to provide wedding photography for their special day. With morning preparations at the Broadway Villa hotel for the bride, the ceremony at Sacred Heart Church in Cobham, and their reception at Painshill Park.

In addition to this, the couple hired me for an engagement shoot at Holland Park. This is a great example of my Ultimate Package. Get in touch, if you like to hire me for your day!

Engagement Shoot

The Big Day - Morning Preparations

I began their day by capturing wedding images of Leisha at the Broadway Villa Hotel while my second shooter focused on Jordan at the grooms hotel. Surrounded by her bridesmaids we had a fantastic shoot, as they calmed her nerves with laughter and joy.

The Ceremony

We then travelled to the Sacred Heart church for the ceremony, where I was given access to the balcony for some unique imagery. It was a beautiful ceremony with funny & emotional moments. The groom, welled up with emotion when his bride walked down the aisle and later in his excitement, dropped the ring when he asked to put it onto Leisha.

The Big Day - Painshill Park

Following from the lovely ceremony we then travelled to the Conservatory at Painshill Park for a private shoot with the newlyweds before it all kicked off.

We returned to the conservatory after the private shoot to capture the family formal group shots, with my second shooter capturing the candid moments when the guests waited for their turn with the lovely couple.

Finally it was time for the reception, which began with the groomsmen and bridesmaids dancing leading the way for Jordan & Leisha to enter the canopy. And after some lovely speeches from the family, the groom shared some emotional and touching moments with his new bride. They had been in love since form 6, and it was sweet to hear about their love story.

During a quiet moment when the food was being served, I approached the top table to present the mother of the bride a present. You see, it turned that she was originally from Grenada, the island in the Caribbean where I grew up. And shortly before their wedding, I had travelled to my home for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Upon learning about the mother of the brides heritage, Leisha and I arranged to surprise her mum with a bottle of rum that you can only get on the island. It was a lovely surprise indeed and only regret was not photographing this moment.

Following on from these emotional displays of love, the couple had their first dance with their names projected onto the LED dancefloor, quickly superseded by the father-daughter dance.

The couple danced away the rest of the night with their loved ones to the tunes of Aidonia - Yeah Yeah and Nana Fofie's - Assurance.

Before packing up and saying our goodbyes, I had one more shoot with the lovely couple. Just a quick shot, outside with the brides veil.
